Good Morning Brothers and Sister;
This picture was taken at 07:00 on Friday, February 28, 2014, the morning of our System-wide Contract ratification vote. The parking lot at the System Council office was full, including overflow parking on the side and rear of the property. I would imagine we are going to have a strong turnout today, thanks to the hard work of our dedicated Local Union Officers.
Regardless of the final vote count in approximately 12 hours from now, I want to thank all of our Officers and representatives for your hard work and dedication as you passionately represent our members. Our members are blessed to have you representing them. Without your commitment and the sacrifices you make, we would not be the strong and effective organization we proudly call the IBEW. I am both grateful and humbled to serve as your Business Manager.
After all the votes are tallied, I will be posting the results on our web site for our membership, communicating with the International Office of the IBEW and notifying the Company as to whether we have a ratified contract. I remain hopeful we will ratify this contract.
In closing, I want to thank ALL our dues paying members for your support. The IBEW is YOUR Union. Together we stand united and dedicated to one another. Your elected officers will continue to be the spirited advocates and the strong voices for you, our Brothers and Sisters. Together we will continue to be the best in everything we do. We are SKILLED, we are PROFESSIONAL and we are STRONG. We are the IBEW.
