Please see the attached documents and links regarding the threat of a constitutional amendment to bring energy deregulation to Florida. This would have a devastating impact on bargaining unit jobs, community tax bases and our energy bills. The IBEW, AFL-CIO and Florida Electrical Workers Association stand adamently opposed. Please read and educate yourself and anyone else you interact with on a daily basis, so that they can understand fully the impact and consequences this will have on families, friends and the whole state of Florida. This WILL result in plant closures....that's a virtual certainty. Not to mention, electricty rates in deregulated states are 38% higher than the current rates in Floirida.
